LET'S HAND THEM OUT!

This week's topic: GOSPEL TRACTS: IS IT WORTH IT TO HAND THEM OUT?

We discussed that sometimes we feel discouraged or a little apprehension when first preaching the gospel or giving someone the law. Tracts are great methods to breaking the ice and leading to a discussion about the Lord.

Many people look past the effect tracts have on individuals. They say so much and Jonothan joked "You can't argue back at them". Futhermore, tracts provide a sense of comfort to those passing them out, and they are stepping stones to help you eventually get over the frightening emotions we sometimes feel when evangelizing or open-air preaching. It was a great Class!!!

Campus Crusade for Christ and CHANGE Collegian Network working together for the glory of God! This time in New Orleans ;)

Dancing to the song "Bring down the walls," we prayed for the city of New Orleans and went out to preach the gospel!

Each one of the soldiers of the cross had one of the Ten Commandments written on a white t-shirt! We declared war against immorality, idolatry, theft, lying and murder!

We formed in a single file and walked around the French Quarters (sin city) with the Ten Commandments for all to see. At the same time praying that God would bring conviction of sin over the city.

We finally arrived at a place appointed by the Lord for us to preach the gospel. It's was as if that place had been made specifically for open air preaching because our voices were as loud as loudspeakers. The message: Repent while you can, it is a fearful thing to fall in the hands of the living God.

As one soldier preached, the rest interceded for the souls. As always, the grace of the cross was magnified in this city. Where sin abounds, grace did much more abound. The sinfulness of the city is so much, that the grace of God became amazing! Thanks be to God for the Lord Jesus Christ! We were in awe as we remembered how we were also once dead in our sins, enemies of God, children of wrath and how God rescued us and brought us to his marvelous light! He gave us what we did not deserve: forgiveness, life eternal and fellowship with God the Father! All because He is worthy ;)

Ricky sharing his views on the topic as Jonothan, Courtney and Siquina look on.
Ricky, Siquina and Courtney have a moment of laughter!
Sylveria giving one of her many examples to apply to the lesson on "Atheism"
Tony pondering on Jonothan's questioned that he pose before breaking them into small groups.
Before going on Spring Break, Ramapo CCN Leader, Jonothan felt led to teach our class on how to witness to those who are atheist. As difficult as it can be sometimes, because we feel like there is so much we must say in order to prove God's existence, Jonothan broke down some points on how to effectively witness to those who follow atheism.
We then were partnered off. One was supposed to play the role of an atheist and the other a believer trying to share the gospel. We each had a limited to apply what we had just learned. We then came back to our large group discussion and talked about what we did wrong and how to better circumvent intellect and stick to the law. IT WAS TRULY A BLESSED TIME IN THE LORD!!!
